Using Xten’s Purchasing Power to Minimize Your Material Costs and Risks of Inventory Obsolescence
.
A Closely Managed Supply System Supports Xten’s Unique Fabrication Service.
Using our new customer’s current suppliers as a base, Xten’s purchasing group establishes solid working relationships to ensure immediate continuing supply, while exploring our own universe of vendors, seeking the most beneficial buying arrangements. In time, noticeable savings in raw materials, parts and components are created through our carefully developed hybrid supply system.
Combining volumes from several customers creates valuable purchasing leverage. Likewise, Xten’s relationships with its cadre of suppliers often eliminates minimum purchase pricing a customer might otherwise absorb.
The combination of faster turns on larger purchases contributes to lower material and component costs for Multifacturing customers. These customers also avoid tying up cash in production inventory and safety stocks, paying Xten only for finished products. Working closely with Xten’s production scheduling team, Multifacturing customers can closely align manufacture to payment, thereby improving cash flow and reducing borrowing expenses.
Taking Some of the Surprises Out of Commodity Markets

We work with our customers to avoid the impact of unexpected and unforeseeable spikes in resin, metals and corrugated prices through active programs from pricing tied to commodity indexes to the forward purchase of such materials. Xten’s purchasing managers stay abreast of changes in these commodity markets, using their knowledge and intuition to create important and valuable hedges in these notoriously volatile marketplaces.
Providing Multifacturing Customers With Fulfillment Services
Xten also manages customer inventory through such programs as JIT, Kan-Ban , pull-through or storage where required. Activity is driven by customer requirements with liberal provisions for updates accomplished routinely through an advanced EDI system, and directly on-line or
via phone when circumstances require.
Inventories are available to Multifacturing customers through our website, on a real-time 24/7 basis.
Our order fulfillment services include receiving and warehousing Multifacturing customers’ components and associated products that we do not produce. These are then incorporated into pick-n-pack shipments that fulfill customer orders.
