Xten Industries, an award-winning plastic injection molder and contract manufacturer, announced this week that it has added to its injection molding fleet.
Xten purchased two Cincinnati Milacron MH500 ton molding presses, a Cincinnati MH600 ton press and accompanying robots. These machines are a welcome addition to Xten’s existing capabilities; bringing Xten’s molding machines to a total of 35. The presses and robots were purchased from a Rubbermaid plant in Tennessee, after the company decided to abandon one of its product lines.
“We are very excited about the additional equipment. This gives us the opportunity to create more efficient work cells in our contract manufacturing facility. We can now meet our customer’s needs even faster and these machines will be extremely helpful with the new business we have slated for January,” stated Xten’s Vice President of Operations, Bill Renick.
The new presses and robots are scheduled to be operational by January 2009.
