As part of a community wide event, Xten will be hosting an “Ask the Expert” booth to share knowledge on how businesses can be more sustainable and how plastic can be an environmentally friendly choice of materials. The Xten booth will also display items manufactured from recycled and biodegradable plastics.
“Xten is looking forward to participating in Kenosha’s Earth Day celebration. We are working hard to be a more sustainable company and we want to share that information with others,” stated Mark Dirr, Xten’s director of Engineering.
Hosted on the Gateway campus, the Earth Day celebration will include a variety of activities, demonstrations, displays and informational booths. On Friday, April 23, the event will also feature speaker Tom Szaky, the owner of Terracycle.
