Matt Davidson brought over fifteen years of general management experience in the packaging industry to Xten when he and partner, Bill Renick, purchased it in 2000. From 1983 - 1995, Mr. Davidson served as Chairman of the Board and major shareholder of Hexacomb Corporation of Lincolnshire,Illinois. During that time, Mr. Davidson directed the Company’s growth from $5 million to $70 million in sales.
In 1995, Hexacomb was sold to Fortune 100 Tenneco Corporation. Mr. Davidson became Vice President of Tenneco Packaging (now "Pactiv Corporation") and remained General Manager of the Hexacomb unit where he increased sales to $90 million while overseeing 880 full time employees. As Tenneco Packaging's Vice President, Mr. Davidson was instrumental in creating the Global Protective Packaging Division (which included Hexacomb) that eventually grew, via acquisitions and internal growth, to $850 million in sales worldwide.
Mr. Davidson also has been a director and/or trustee of numerous companies and not-for-profit organizations. He has a BA with Honors from The Colorado College and a MS (Geology) from Harvard University.
